TSOA Commitment to Data Privacy Protection

TSOA is committed to protect all personally identifiable information and business proprietary data that we collect. We cannot build long-term business relationships with our customers and provide them with the most capable and reliable drivers unless the business relationship is based on trust.  TSOA appreciates this challenge, and also acknowledges that our corporate responsibilities include responsible handling and protection of this important information.  TSOA ensures a consistent standard and protections for handling and protecting personally identifiable information and business proprietary data.  The TSOA Data Privacy Protection Policy outlines the types of personally identifiable information and business proprietary data that is received and collected by TSOA, how it is used, and limitations on its use.  The TSOA Data Privacy Protection Policy supports TSOA’s competitive ability and forms the basis for long-lasting business relationships built on trust.

Personally identifiable information

TSOA does not collect personally identifiable information (e.g. name, address, telephone number or e-mail address), unless it is voluntarily provided (e.g. by customer registration, driver application, etc.).  For drivers, TSOA also collects personally identifiable information (driving record, convictions, accidents, safety record, log data, etc.) that relates to driver professional qualifications and requirements. Business Proprietary Data TSOA does not collect business proprietary information from customers or potential customers (e.g. bank account information, routing information, number and locations of vehicles), unless it is voluntarily provided (e.g. by invoices or payment directions, requests for proposals, transfer requests, etc.).

TSOA Purpose of Use

When TSOA is provided with personally identifiable information, or business proprietary data we use it for TSOA business required specific actions, such as to determine driver qualifications, assign drivers, respond to an inquiry, process an order or provide access to information regarding vehicle transfers.  TSOA does not sell or market personally identifiable information or business proprietary information to third parties.

Purpose Limitation TSOA will collect, use or disclose personally identifiable information and business proprietary data only for the purposes disclosed, unless the disclosure:

  • is a use of the personally identifiable information or business proprietary data for any additional purpose that is directly related to the original purpose for which the personal information or business proprietary data was collected,
  • is necessary to prepare, negotiate and perform a contract or other formal relationship with the information provider,
  • is required to be produced by law or the competent governmental or judicial authorities
  • is necessary to establish or preserve a legal claim or defense,
  • is necessary to ensure safe operations, or,
  • is necessary to prevent fraud or other illegal activities.

Non-Personal Data Collected Automatically

When you access our TSOA website (www.tsoa.com and its subpages), or mobile application, we may automatically (i.e., not by registration) collect non-personal data (e.g. type of internet browser and operating system used, domain name of the web site from which you came, number of visits, average time spent on the site, pages viewed).  We use this data to monitor the attractiveness of our website and/or mobile application and improve its performance or content.

“Cookies” – Information Stored Automatically on Your Computer

When you view our TSOA website or access our mobile application, we may store some data on your computer in the form of a “cookie” to automatically recognize your device next time you visit.  Cookies help us in many ways, for example, by allowing us to tailor our website to better match visitor interests.  If you do not wish to receive cookies, please configure your internet browser to erase all cookies from your computer’s hard drive, block all cookies or to receive a warning before a cookie is stored.

Where TSOA relies on others to assist in its processing activities, TSOA selects and contracts with data processors that provide sufficient security measures and take reasonable steps to ensure compliance with those measures.

To protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss or alteration and against unauthorized disclosure or access, TSOA uses technical and organizational security measures.  TSOA continually monitors our security measures and routinely updates them as improvements are identified.

The TSOA website and mobile application may contain links to other websites.  TSOA is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of other websites or applications.
